Nesso, is located in the Alexander Hotel, the contemporary boutique hotel offering a unique Indianapolis experience for cultured clientele and passionate travelers.

Nesso complements the appreciation of art at the table. The palate is the canvas and Chef uses technique to present Indianapolis a collaboration of farms and personal experience to create artistically crafted dishes.

Chef Kalu Ferreira

Executive Chef

Chef Kalu Ferreira, born in Brazil and raised in Indianapolis, discovered his passion for the culinary arts at a young age. His journey began at 15, working in kitchens and honing his skills from the ground up, starting with boiling pasta and making breadsticks at Fazoli’s. 

Chef Kalu draws inspiration from the beauty of nature, the variety of seasonal produce, the changing weather, and the rhythms of music, all of which are reflected in his creative and dynamic menus. His innovative approach and commitment to excellence have earned Nesso recognition from the Distinguished Restaurants of North America.

When he's not crafting culinary delights at Nesso, Chef Kalu enjoys staying active at the gym and nurturing his love for plants through gardening. His diverse interests and experiences continue to influence his work, making each dining experience at Nesso unique and memorable.
